Story 3 – Karen
11-year-old Karen has been diagnosed with scoliosis. An X-ray of her spine showed a Cobb angle of 52° in the spine sequels T8-L2.
Fortunately, Karen was able to receive a full sponsorship from SRDC for her anterior VBT to correct her spine curvature, which she received at DKCH on the 8 April, 2021. The surgery improved her Cobb angle to 19° in T8-L2. She was discharged from hospital on 13 April. Karen continues to have her follow up sessions at DKCH afterwards.
